Pecos week 2

Snow on November 15 in Pecos, Texas
Did it snow? Let me answer that question with a couple pictures from yesterday. We were in a little lesson and when we finished we came outside to the nice surprise of snow! It was a cold one for sure, but we were blessed to have 3 different lessons yesterday, keeping us pretty safe from the cold weather. Your first letter caught up to me so far. Nowadays, they aren't forwarding mail from the mission home anymore. They only give it to us when there's a zone conference or something when they bring the letters up. Lucky me, this last week we had a zone conference over in Midland. Whew, that was a long ride.
Elder Moffitt and Elder Palmer at the Lubbock, Texas temple.

I don't know if I told you the new rule that President Heap made about how missionaries can go to the temple once a transfer! Well, we went this week. Great experience as usual. Now I have been able to see all 3 of the new temple videos. This next transfer Elder Palmer and I are really hoping and praying that we can get some new recent converts to the temple to do baptisms. The first task with that is that we need to baptize some people of course. Speaking of our investigators, This week we weren't able to have a lesson with Cesar and his family, but we do have a lesson set up with them tonight. We did get to talk to them a couple of times, and they said how everyone was really excited for us coming over and how they were all making sure to read the introduction to the Book of Mormon that we had assigned them to read. That is pretty awesome. Another investigator that we have is Jessica. She always comes to church and wants to be baptized. But first she has to get married. I think I just briefly mentioned her last week. She's super cool. They actually had us over to dinner and a lesson last night. The whole family is great. Her going to be husband is an excommunicated member that is working on getting back to being baptized as well.

Lugging back gallons of water in a bike area... fun!

Service for the local museum: organizing their bookshelf!

Reasons for this transfers planner cover: Samuel the Lamanite predicted the coming of Christ, and next transfer is Christmas! Also, I thought all the orange colors from both these pictures gave it a good fall look. Too bad winter seems like it's coming in extra fast though.

Here I am riding my "noble steed" off into the sunset.

This week we were able to go by our branch president's house and talk to him about which less actives he would like us to visit and really just how we can help him. This last week we've been able to contact everyone on the list and have a lesson with a couple of them. By doing this, we have encountered 2 part member families. Bingo. Basically, we're really excited.

I hope you liked the pics and the stories from this week. I hope dad's reffing season went well, and I hope that ya'll keep up that awesome missionary work!

I love you mom! I love you dad! I love you Meagan! I love you Courtney!
