Last week in Abilene

Happy Halloween!
Pumpkin Carving!
Halloween night we went to Bro Robles's house to carve some pumpkins. It was quite fun.

Elder Cruz and I with our finished pumpkins.

I decided to go for a Pac Man Pumpkin. Just to do something a little different

Hey family!!!! Well, I will tell you what I will be mostly doing today: packing. This transfer back in Abilene was the fastest one yet. I figured it would work like that, and actually this last week I had the feeling that I would be leaving already. Turned out I was right. Elder Cruz will be staying here and Elder Johnson, whom I don't know will be finishing his training. I will be going to Pecos, TX with Elder Palmer, whom I also do not know.

This week we had Elder Rafael Pino from the 70 come to visit the mission. That means on Thursday I got to see Elders Powell, Banks, and Pahulu. It was a bunch of fun. Here's a picture with Me, Elders Powell, Yorgeson, Pahulu, and Barnes.

It was loads of fun, and I had a bunch of personal revelation while listening. Elder Pino is from Venezuela, so he actually spoke in Spanish. Elder Pahulu got to be one of the translators. It was cool because I already understood all that he was saying. Then sometimes when Elder Pahulu was translating he threw in some of his "Pahulu touch" which made everyone laugh. I don't know how to explain it. But as you know, he's just a funny guy. Then at lunch I sat with Elder Powell and we got to connect again for the first time since ever. We were reminded of basically how much we are twins. Yep, we are the same in like everything we do. It was great. Then I also got to talk to Elder Banks for like 15 minutes before everything started up again, and it was an all around good time.

This week was kind of slow. We tried by Ana, Sandra, and Odalis, also Nick and Silvia every day but to no avail. We were able to teach Ignacio, if you remember that I taught him last time I was here. Since I left his wife died, and we taught him about eternal families. He just seems super lonely, and the other elders will be going back for sure. He could be super ready now.  That's basically the just of this week. Thanks for the Halloween box. Both of us loved it. I have been eating as much food as I could these last couple days, but I will probably have to end up leaving a bunch behind. There were 35 people at church this week.
Saying goodbye to Jovita, who told me when I got here how the missionaries never come to say goodbye to her. Of course, that meant I had to pay her a visit yesterday night to say goodbye.

Saying goodbye to Leonardo last night
Brother Robles

Saying goodbye to the Juarez family. Trini, Martha, Nicolas, and Jackie. Nadia wasn't there. I'll be trying to see her tonight.

Elder Cruz and I on our visit to Tye this week, a little town right outside Abilene
Can you believe I have to leave Abilene already? It's pretty crazy. But you know, that's how life is. President Heap compared it to the children of Israel wandering in the wilderness for 40 years. He said, "What do you think was harder for them (or you), to stay for years and years in a barren wilderness? Or to have to leave a beautiful, awesome place after stopping there for only a couple days?" Very interesting. President Heap is always full of wisdom for us.

Mom....... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! I will be sending you something in the mail today, so be expecting it later on in the week. Just know that I love you so much, and yeah you're the best mom ever! Seriously, I am spoiled. It's great. haha. I love you mom! I love you dad! I love you Meagan! I love you Courtney!
