Hereford week 3

Cow that has the list of high school victories (the mascot of Hereford Highschool is the Herd. This is too good to be a lie).
Chamber of Commerce Cow

Herford Meat Market Cow

If you have noticed, in all of these pictures I am wearing the same tie. Yet, these pictures were not taken all on the same day. I wore the same tie 4 days in a row this week. No one commented on it. I was slightly disappointed.

Ok, now for some news about our investigators! Tina had to work this Sunday. Dang. If it wasn't for her job making her working on Sundays she would be baptized this Saturday. Keep praying for her to get Sundays off. It's only a matter of time. This week we found out she's from Hawaii! She has Hawaiian royalty in her blood, so if she moved back to Hawaii she could live there for 99 cents a year. I am too jealous!!!

Silvia made it out to church today and has really enjoyed all of the lessons we've had. She wants to be baptized, but she still feels that she's not ready quite yet. This week was great for their family though! Her husband Sergio  got the priesthood this week in church and his son Sergio was able to give it to him (yes, Sergio is Sergio's dad. And they are both named Sergio in case that was confusing at all).

Joe wasn't able to make it out to church, but we had 3 really good lessons with him. Turns out he also knows 3 of the other recent converts in the ward besides Sergio, so we're excited about all the great fellowship he has. He really wants to be baptized, but he just needs to make it out to church.

Saul unfortunately is in jail for a while... He told us a couple weeks ago that he had to go to jail, so it was no shock. But, it still isn't any good. Another good investigator that we have is Shawn. He is friends with another member family in the branch and they have us over once or twice a week to meet with him. He's 20 years old and he reminds me of a mixture of Michael Nokes and a guy I met in college. He's legit. He's been to church the last 2 weeks in a row. And this week church attendance was about the same as last week, around 75.

Sad day. That Gatorade lanyard that Meagan so preciously gifted me broke for the second time, so instead of super gluing is back together once again I decided to just throw it way :(
And here is me eating a pretty normal Tuna sandwich, but now I acquired a taste for spices, so I added some good old jalapenos (I hear they're suppose to speed up your metabolism).

We made smoothies this week, and Elder Walker said it looked like the drinks they have in James and the Giant Peach. I totally agree, and I thought it was quite cool.

And one last story. This week I discovered something called "shog." It's a brown haze that hangs around on the edge of town, and we had to pass through it this week on our trip to an outside town, Friona. Have you discovered what Shog means? Fog of sh.... Yup. It's caused by all the cows walking around on their dried up poop. Then the wind catches it and starts blowing it around. Gaa-ross!

I love you family! It's always good to hear from you! And keep those pictures rolling in too! I love you see how ya'll are doing! I love you Courtney! I love you Meagan! I love you dad! I love you mom! Wow. Reverse order. Did I throw you off? :)
