Pampa week 12

As is custom the last week of the transfer, we had district pictures. From left to right we have Elders Hultgren, Jessop, Southwick, Green, Me, Pahulu, and Sisters Rocha and Slade.

As to avoid further suspense, last night we received transfer calls and I will be moving on to a town called Hereford, TX. My new companion's name is Elder Walker. I met him once before at a zone conference. I don't know much about him. I don't think he has a driver's license. He is almost at the end of his mission. And as Elder Pahulu said "Now I won't be your only brown companion!" Because Elder Walker is Dominican.

Luckily this time I won't be taking the transfer bus, just driving in the car since Hereford is relatively close (for our mission). Therefore, I have more wiggle room with how much stuff I can bring along with me. Today I am also going to buy some of those vacuum bags to make my clothes fit nice and tight to save some room. Also, be expecting a package from me. But... It should also have Courtney's birthday present along with some of my stuff so don't open it until then. Oh, and Meagan your schedule sounds perfect! That's like almost exactly what my schedule was my first semester at college. I think you will really enjoy having Tuesday, Thursday and Friday as easier days. It will be lots of fun!
And here is a crazy dust storm that we got caught out in this week. I don't know if the picture fully captures it, but it was pretty crazy. We had to go inside for 2 hours so we didn't die. Typical, the storm was on bike day too. All is well though. No harm done.

Here's a picture of the little place we found to hide out in during the dust storm until a member picked us up in his car. We were doing service as you can see.

Yes, pretty sweet pile of tires, or tile of pires as I kept accidentally calling it.

Of course, yes, conference was wonderful. During one session, President Uchtdorf was wearing the exact yellow tie that I have. Cool. And the most mind blowing talk of conference was Elder Oaks' talk during priesthood session. Look it up, but probably don't show it to investigators. haha. And the themes that stood out to me this conference: Family, Temple, Being true to the faith, and Second coming. Dang, We better get ready it sounds like...

Here we are last night having dinner with the Sanchez family who are the other good friends of Diego and Janie. The lady in the picture with them at the baptism is named Virginia.
And this week we saw a super cool field and had to take some cool posed pictures in it. Couldn't resist.

The Book is open to Doctrine and Covenants Section 4, in case you were wondering.

New transfer. New planner. This next transfer holds my year mark as being a missionary. It was a battle, and although I may not be a master commander like Moroni, I do feel a little more like a seasoned veteran than before. And the other major event of this transfer is Mother's Day. So of course I had to put a stripling warrior picture, all culminating in the perfect theme for my planner.

That's about it for me this week. I love you mom! I love you dad! I love you Meagan! I love you Courtney!
