Pecos week 5

All my Christmas cards ready to send!
Our service this week consisted of going to the Museum and setting up their Christmas decorations. We got to decorate their big tree on the ladder too. That was pretty fun.

I know this picture is a little blurry, but I figured it might be. When I gave the lady the camera to take a picture of our finished product she asked which button takes the picture. That's not a good sign for a high quality picture in the making. Haha. It was a good time though.

This week we were able to teach so many lessons! It was great. We never got to meet up with Cesar and the family this week though. However, we ended up picking up a few new investigators that we had found out on the street (well, I guess that's the only way we pick up new investigators...). There is this super cool 19 year old guy named Javier that we taught a few times this week. He was planning on coming to church this week too. But he ended up going to his other church because he plays in the band there, and they kept him longer than he thought they would. He is one of my favorite investigators right now though. You could very accurately just describe him as a "bro."

Jessica was at church again yesterday. And her boyfriend, Danny also had work off so he was able to make it as well. I don't know if I made him out to sound like a bad guy in my other letters. Hopefully not. Because he is super awesome too. He has such a good heart and a sincere desire to choose the right, but he is just in some hard circumstances right now.

Another few people we started teaching this week are Victor and Rachel. And also Nolberto. They all 3 really felt the spirit during our lessons and accepted our challenge to read the Book of Mormon. This week at church there were 70 people. None of this is attributed to us though. Every fast Sunday we have  about 10 people that go to the church in Van Horn come up here to church. Plus, there were a couple other families visiting from around the district this week.

This week Elder Palmer and I started doing a puzzle during our meal times. It is pretty fun, as you can see from the look on Elder Palmer's face.

Elder Palmer caught a chicken

When we were walking into the Museum I found a little gem on one of the signs outside. Look whose name it is!
This is the last week of the transfer again already. Of course, that means we had to take our district pictures for the transfer. I think they both illustrate who Elder Palmer is very well. He's a pretty goofy guy

In the picture from left to right we have Sisters Nowling and Davidson. Then Elders Hilton, Banegas, me, Bladen and Hansen (who are the zone leaders), Palmer in the back, Carlile and Sork.
That's it for this week. Can't wait to talk to you for reals in a couple more! I love you mom! I love you dad! I love you Meagan! I love you Courtney!
